My quilting buddy, Laureen and I attended the Quilts in the Barn show that is just down Walker Lane. The corral that houses darling Shetland ponies--taken from the window inside of the barn.
THE 'barn'--a bit different that you expect a barn to look like.
Loved this old car with an Underground Railroad Quilt draped over it!
The next few pictures are inside of the barn and all of the stunning creations. The "Gone to Pieces Quilters" do this show in the Cottonwood Heights area every two years. They charge a small admission fee and donate all proceeds to a charity.
From the THIRD floor of the barn
A beautiful peacock not in the mood to strut. . .
The house that is on the estate. . .so charming!
Laureen, my quilty type of friend. . .so nice to have someone who is up for anything when it comes to quilting!
I am working on a few things. . .this is from Lori Holt's blog called 'Bee in My Bonnet' and is a row quilt that she is offering anyone who wants to to join! Looked like fun! Here are my five rows thus far.
The ongoing, NEVER-ENDING stitchery quilt. . .stitching the red flowers. . .
Part of what it will become. . .
Happy Day!

ReplyDeleteHoly Moly that is a lot of quilts! I love the one with Christmas spelled out on it. You really have to be dedicated to be a quilter. Takes sooooo much time and patience! Great job on yours Connie!
ReplyDeleteI may not be ready to produce anything like these quilts, but I would LOVE to go with you if they do this again next year! Beautiful!
